Face Fit Testing

Safety Group provide Face Fit Testing to a range of industries. Anyone using tight fitting Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) should have testing conducted on their face masks to ensure that the mask gives a good seal. This is supported by Regulation 7 of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulation 2002. 

 

Safety Group provide both quantitative and qualitative methods of face fit testing. Quanitative is seen as the gold standard and gives an accurate measure of particles passing into the breathing zone of the mask. The qualitative method uses a substance which creates tastes on the tongue to indicate that the mask is ill fitting.
